Lawyer Enrique Arévalo

Practicing Law for Over Thirty-Five Years

Enrique Arévalo is immigration law attorney who has practiced law for more than thirty-five years. His firm has produced some of the best lawyers in immigration law in Los Angeles, including an Immigration judge in Los Angeles, California and two adjunct law professors at Loyola Law School. He is an immigrant who himself arrived legally to this country in 1968 at the age of fourteen.

His interest in immigration law began while still living in Mexico and knew his father, a United States Citizen, was indirectly deported during the "repatriation programs" of 1930. Years later after graduating from California State University in Los Angeles and Western State University College of Law in Orange, California, he opened his own law firm in the Pico-Union district in the city of Los Angeles California. He relocated his law firm in 1993 to South Pasadena, California, after several years of business growth.

His law firm has been the recipient of some published decisions issued by the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). In 1999 he was awarded the Meritorious Award from the United States Department of Justice, for his contribution to the formation of the Pro-Bono panel (free representation) to assist families who are facing deportation before the immigration court.

In 2005 he received the award for Community Service "Cruz Reynoso" and in 2013 received the award for "Lifetime Achievement" by The Mexican American Bar Association (MABA), of Los Angeles County.

He is currently an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and until 2009 he served on the Board of Directors of the Charitable Foundation of the White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, California, and has been designated legal consultant on immigration issues for the government of Mexico.

Enrique Arevalo comes from a working family, his father worked in a meatpacking plant in Vernon, California, and his mother was a cook at a restaurant in Boyle Heights. He has seven brothers and two sisters.

Enrique Arévalo is a lawyer known in the field of immigration law, for more than thirty-five years. He participates in radio and television programs at local stations, has been a legal analyst on immigration issues on live television programs and newscasts on NBC-Telemundo, KVEA, channel 52 and KWHY, Mundo-Fox Channel 22, and Univision KMEX Channel 34.

He was recently the host of the live radio show, with Univision Radio, at the KTNQ 1020 AM station, the program's title was "The Law and You", broadcasted live from Monday to Friday from 12:00PM to 1:00PM. The program was aired from April 2016 until June 2018.

Enrique Arevalo is single, has a daughter and two grandchildren and lives in South Pasadena, California.
